Who Is Paying For The Cement Cleaning?
Filed Under (Home and Garden) by ProLinker

I saw a company at the park doing some cement cleaning and was wondering how much that was costing the taxpayers to have it done. I am all for making our park look better, but hiring a big company to spend days and days working on concrete cleaning has to be expensive. I once had someone come and give me a quote to clean our entire driveway, and I had to tell them that I could not afford to do it and have just watched it get dirtier and dirtier.

I decided to call that same power washing company that I had called and just ask them to give me a ball park figure of what they would charge to do the cement cleaning that was being done at the park. The number that they gave me was ridiculous. I then called and asked the mayor who was footing the bill for the concrete cleaning that was being done by the power washing company in the park and he informed me that an anonymous donor had paid for half of it, and then the company that was performing the work, donated the rest of it.

I felt like an idiot for overreacting about who was paying for the concrete cleaning, but do feel a little better now that I know it is not the taxpayers.

Hoping To Pick Up The Hogan Shoes Today
Filed Under (E Commerce) by ProLinker

I was really hoping to get some shopping done over the weekend, but my son was not feeling well and I did not want to make him brave the mall with a temperature. He was up for it, because he knows that they have a great arcade at the mall but I knew that what he needed was rest.

I was really looking forward to picking up the new Hogan shoes I had seen in a fashion magazine last week. I had called and confirmed that they had them at my favorite store in the mall. They even had my size and the color I wanted too.

The other item that I wanted was a new Prada handbag that I had seen on a mannequin while I was driving through town. In the window of the Prada store, was the most beautiful green Prada handbag just hanging there, waiting for me to stop and buy it. I was already running late to pick up my son from school that day, and knew that I could not stop. That was when I figured I would just get them over the weekend.

Since I am back in the office today, I am thinking of taking a very long lunch and heading out to pick up my new Hogan shoes and the Prada handbag. I really think that I deserve them after sitting at home all weekend being a great mother.

I Thought My Car Insurance Rates Would Increase
Filed Under (Finance & Insurance) by ProLinker

Most of the time I am a pretty good driver but last week I had an accident with another car. I was not paying attention and I hit them from behind, so logically it was my fault. I followed through with the police report and filing a claim with my insurance company.

I got my car fixed after paying my deductible and I thought my car insurance rates my go up a little but I did not expect what actually happened. After taking care of everything that they had to, my terrific car insurance company decided to drop me of their services.

I do not agree with this in the least bit, I think it is unfair and unjust to drop someone for having an accident. I am sorry but isn’t that what car insurance companies are for? This to me is just wrong and I think that the Government should step in and not let insurance companies get away with this.

I paid my premiums on time every month for over five years. I have one little claim and they drop me like a rock; it is just not right at all. I will not sit here and dwell over it but I will let people know how I feel. I guess I should have shopped around for better car insurance rates. I though since I was paying a more expensive company I would get a better service.

I Told the Bingo Ladies about the Energy Tax Credit and Replacement Windows
Filed Under (Home and Garden) by ProLinker

When my neighbor was having replacement windows put in her house, I sat and watched the men working. They were working very fast and seemed to really know what they were doing. The next day I saw my neighbor out watering her flowers and told her how much I liked her replacement windows.

She thanked me and told me about the energy tax credit that she was getting by putting in the replacement windows and that anyone could do it. I was shocked to learn of this program. You would think that more people would know about something that great. I called my daughter who lives in Ohio and told her that if you put in replacement windows then you could earn an energy tax credit, and she told me that she already knew that. I guess her boss had done that about six months earlier and told everyone in the office about it.

I figured that I must be the only person alive that did not know about the energy tax credit but I was wrong. I went to bingo that night at the local elks lodge and started asking everyone else if they knew about the credit you get by putting in replacement windows and there were quite a few that had not. I was so happy to explain it to them.
